The Customer Service Representative is accountable for creating a positive and memorable customer experience through dedication to developing lasting customer relationships and discovering opportunities for new business.

Accountabilities

  • Strives to deliver exceptional customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
  • Projects friendly, enthusiastic and courteous behavior when greeting and interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Opens new accounts such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit while offering banking solutions such as online banking, mobile banking and electronic statements.
  • Perform maintenance on accounts and consistently deliver value-added services by effectively identifying appropriate solutions for customers.
  • Maintains a Teller Cash Drawer for Regular daily teller duties
  • May assist with cash vault and ATM service
  • Possess and demonstrate knowledge of all consumer banking products and services.
  • Understand and comply with the related laws and Bank compliance regulations.
  • As part of the overall team of bank employees, this role will support BSB in our community involvement efforts.

Education & Preferred Skills

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Banking experience in a customer service bank environment preferred
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills and a working knowledge of Word and Excel, must be able to type, use of ten key communications skills and utilization of typical office equipment.
  • Cash handling experience and on-the-job training may be required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Professional appearance and courteous manner.
